Tip of the Week

I'm often asked how to determine the amount of wattage needed to illuminate a room properly. I preface my answer by saying that in order to properly light a space you'll need several types of light sources, and all of these lights may not be turned on at the same time. I feel a good baseline is 3 watts per square foot, and add dimmer controls wherever possible. This should satisfy a wide range of lighting requirements for the space.
