About Us
Bailiwick Design, founded in 1999 by Carrie Oesmann, ASID, is based on the belief that the skills of an interior designer should be available to everyone. Making educated decisions in the planning stages can ensure that the design process is a smooth one. Making smart choices in the allocation of funds can make all the difference in getting your project off the ground and keeping it on track and within budget!

Carrie Oesmann, ASID

Carrie Oesmann’s entrepreneurial spirit has inspired her to take great homes and make them into one-of-a-kind masterpieces that show off her client’s individual personalities. Her portfolio ranges from basic space planning and remodeling to complete home design where she is an invaluable resource from initial blueprint and lighting design to the last accessory. Her passion has found its place in making people feel at ease throughout the process, as well as at home in their new, functional space.

Gold and silver awards for her designing talents are a testament to her creativity and dedication to her profession. Carrie’s work has been featured in multiple trade magazines including New York Spaces, Distinctive Kitchens, Design NJ, New Jersey Home and Style, to name a few, as well as designer showhouses and even a television pilot. Carrie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and an Associate’s degree in Interior Design from Centenary College. She is an active professional member of ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers, and is one of the elite who has passed the rigorous national qualification exam, making her an NCIDQ certified interior designer.

Carrie recently spearheaded the renovation of Katie’s House, an assisted living facility for young women with special needs and continues to work on various community service projects. Carrie is married with two wonderful daughters, who are both attending college. She is an active member of her church and community. She enjoys skiing, golfing, and teaching fitness classes, and successfully competed in her first triathlon last year.
